Most birth control methods do not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (STI’s), nor is there any birth control that is 100% reliable in preventing pregnancy.

WHAT IS IT:

Injectable method of birth control. It is a long acting man-made hormone

DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE.

The FDA has issued a BLACK BOX WARNING regarding information on the loss of significant bone mineral density with the use of Depo Provera. Bone loss is greater with increasing duration of use and may not be completely reversible.
